How lessons work

I have more than 25 years of teaching experience and a background in psychology, so my lessons pay attention to how a learner feels as well as what they know. I give nervous learners time to settle and build confidence.

The first lesson is about finding out where the learner is now and what they need. From there, I plan lessons around clear goals so progress is easy to see.

Lessons take place at my practice in Milton Keynes, or online by video call.

Payment and missed lessons

Tutoring is paid monthly, and I reserve a regular slot for each student. Because that time is kept for them, missed lessons are not refunded, but up to 3 lessons a year can be rebooked.

Online lessons

Can't make it to Milton Keynes? I also teach online by video call, with the same one-to-one attention as lessons in person.

Online lessons work well for busy families, for students further away, and for adults learning Russian. All you need is a laptop or tablet and a quiet space.

Celebrating every success

When students reach their goals, I mark it with a certificate of achievement. The thank-you cards I get back from students and parents are one of the best parts of the job.
